Ben Gilliland: Editor-in-Chief

gilliland_1.jpgBen Gilliland is a senior at Thomas Jefferson High School. He is the Editor in Chief of the newspaper, and has been on the staff for two and a half years. When not at school Ben enjoys hiking, rock climbing, and snowboarding. He also likes listening to heavy metal music.

Julia Harrington: Community & Partners Editor

Manny Perez: Living & Arts Editor

A self proclaimed megalomaniac and pseudo-philanthropist, Perez enjoys photography and walking his lab-chow, Rousseau.

Marc Houghton: Sports Editor

houghton.jpgMarc Houghton is the senior editor for the Jefferson Journal Sports section. As a year round swimmer and part time golfer, Houghton balances his time between the classroom, the pool, and the driving range. He hopes to attend the Air Force Academy and pursue a career in Engineering after
high school.

Another grin, "But really, I'm about expression." Which makes perfect sense, she writes for the Jefferson Journal.

Christina Danek: Copy Editor

danek.jpgSenior Christina Danek is the third of her siblings to attend TJ. She was in the X-track all three years, and is currently taking four AP classes. Danek plays the violin, is in Computer Magnet, is Vice President of TJ's NHS, and participates in Unified Sports with Special Olympics Colorado.

Jesse is the TJ DECA chapter president, a state DECA officer, works for the mayor of the city of Denver, and played TJ soccer.

Despite this, his relationship with the Lord is paramount in his life and he is a leader at Mission Hills and Young Life.

 Michael Mankoff: Reporter

mike_mankoff.jpgMichael Mankoff is a senior this year at Thomas Jefferson High School. Michael participates in varsity football where he is the starting quarterback, earning all-state honors in 2007. In the spring, Michael plays baseball for the Spartans, and was an all-state selection on our team that finished as the state runner up in 2007.
