►    Senior yearbook photos
The deadline for turning in your senior photo, to be published in the Aristocrat, is Thursday, September 11, 2008.  Should your photographer be unable to meet this deadline, it may be possible to make arrangements with Ms. Wilson, for space to be held – temporarily.  No photos will be accepted after October 1, 2008.   

►    Cap and Gowns information on November 12, 2008
Jostens is the vendor chosen to supply our caps and gowns.  Any senior who intends to be in the Graduation Ceremony have to be measured and pay for their cap and gown in advance. Josten’s will be here on November 12, 2008.  Orders are due later that week, November 20 & 21, 2008. Josten’s representatives will be here those days to assist you. The cost of the gown continues to escalate as you wait.  Wait longer and pay more!  Jostens phone number is 303-985-0095

►    Cap and Gown photos taken January 28, 2009
Lifetouch will be here to take photo proofs of seniors in cap and gowns, for purchase,
on Wednesday, January 28, 2009, during the lunch hour.  Cap and gown photos are by appointment only!  Lifetouch will send you information, approximately 3 weeks prior with information to see Ms. Collins in the office for your appointment.  Retakes for cap and gown photos will be on Friday, March 6, 2009.
 
►    Senior Awards
Senior Awards Night will be held in the Thomas Jefferson Auditorium on Thursday, May 7, 2009 at 7:00 p.m.  Seniors will be recognized for scholastic achievement, scholarships and other noteworthy accomplishments.  The dress for the evening is semi-formal.

►    Scholarships, Honors, Award recipients
All students who are recipients of scholarships, honors or awards would present written notification or copies to Julie Shacklock in the counseling office as soon as possible, and no later than Thursday, April 23, 2009, for inclusion in the Senior Awards program.  No scholarship, honor or award will be publicly recognized unless official verification is presented on or before April 23, 2008.

►    Check-Out Procedure
Prior to the last day of school, you will be given instructions on the procedures to follow when checking out of you classes at TJ, CEC, and/or Opportunity School.  Senior check-out is Monday, May 18, 2009. Seniors are responsible for making sure that their records are clear and that all school business is completed on or before May 15, 2009.  Graduation tickets and a place in the graduation ceremony will be withheld until all school obligations have been completed and all records are clear (including fees and fines).

►    What constitutes completed school business:
•    The return of all textbooks to the teacher issuing them.
•    The return of all library books.
•    Payment for lost books or fines for damaged books.
•    Payment for any fees and/or fines from classes and/or athletics and/or other school activities.
•    The return of all athletic equipment and/or athletic clothing belonging to the school.

Friday, May 15, 2009 is the last full day of regular school for seniors, and they must attend each class to obtain their grades and necessary clearances for graduation.

►    Graduation Mini-Rehearsal, May 13, 2009 (This is subject to change depending on rehearsal at the Colorado Convention Center)
The mini-rehearsal will be held in the school auditorium on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm.  Junior Escorts will be there to help with the rehearsal.  If you fail to show for this practice, you will not be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony!

►    Final Check-Out, Monday, May 18, 2009
Seniors must come to the lunchroom between 8:00 – 9:45 am to do their final check-out.  You will fill out the graduation exit survey and receive your graduation tickets, cap and gown, and health records at this time.

►    Graduation Tickets
Each senior will receive fifteen (15) tickets for parents, relatives and friends.  You will receive your graduation tickets from your counselor after final check-out on May 15, 2009.  You will also receive your cap and gown on the 15th when you go through final check-out.  This is the cap and gown that you will graduate in, so take care of it and don’t forget to bring it to the ceremony.  If you don’t plan on using all fifteen tickets, please return the unused tickets to Ms. Collins or Mrs. Humphrey in the main office.  If you wish to have more tickets you must sign up for them with Mrs. Humphrey in the office by Monday, May 4, 2009.  There are no reserved seats at the Colorado Convention Center.  The first to arrive for graduation will have the opportunity for the better seats.

►    Graduation Rehearsal, Thursday, May 21, 2009
The graduation rehearsal will be held at the Colorado Convention Center on Thursday, May 21, 2009, at 11:00 am.  Your attendance is required.  Please understand that your presence for the entire time is a prerequisite for being in the graduation ceremony.  If you fail to attend all of this rehearsal, there will be NO seat on stage reserved for you the day of graduation.

►    Graduation, Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 3:00 pm
Graduation exercises will be held at the Colorado Convention Center.  You must be there by 2:00 pm.

*Please dress appropriately – No shorts, sandals or inappropriate clothing underneath your gowns*
