The players chosen for this honor were selected based on athletic ability, citizenship and scholarship excellence.  The event is a showcase of five different sports with teams compiled of the best athletes from all classes of Colorado High School sports.  Each sport will play a game between a team from the South and a team from the North regions of the state.

Mankoff and his coaches were thrilled when he recieved the honor.  "I’m reallly excited to get to play in this game.  It’s nice to be recognized after four years of hard work and competition at the high school level," he said.  With a 4.6 GPA and great success all season for the 11-1 Spartans football team, Mankoff is an obvious choice for the Coaches All -State team.

The event consists of five days of practicing with the team at the football facilities in Greeley at the University of Northern Colorado.  Mankoff, his family, and TJ Head Football Coach Tim Owens are invited to attend the Rocky Mountain News Kickoff Banquet, where they will be among the guests of honor with the other athletes.  With his success on and off the field, Mankoff shows that he is a great candidate for this honor bestowed to only the elite Colorado athletes.
