TJ Falls to GW
October 17, 2007
Boys' soccer takes a 3-0 loss to the Patriots.
Despite a hard fought game, the boy’s soccer team was unable to come out with a win against a tough George Washington Patriot team, losing 3-0 on Tuesday, October 16th. The boys had a tough time getting their offense going, being shut out for the 7th time this year. “We had many opportunities, we just couldn't convert on any of them,” said defenseman Keenan Moore. “It seemed as if we were not mentally focused.”
The boys have been eliminated from playoff contention, as they can finish no better than sixth in the Denver Prep League standings. They currently have a record of 4-10 with a 3-4 record in league play. It appears that South and Lincoln will be representing DPS in the playoffs.
TJ, however, can still finish at 4-4 in league play with a win Thursday when they host the Vikings of North. It will be TJ’s last home game and the final game for TJ seniors Wesely Cordes, Adam Rose, Jasser Mohammed, Jonathon Lobato, Brian Walsh, Thomas Mahoney, Nick Kaufold, and Taylor Adams. Look for TJ to win in a very emotional game for these 8 players. The match starts at 4:15 at TJ on Thursday, October 18th.
